White Capris in Italy

This is one of those outfits that felt awesome to wear but didn’t come out quite so well in photos! I know that one reason is because these trousers are that super frustrating kind of denim that feels a little tight when you put them on, making you wonder whether you should have sized up, then by the end of the day, they’re baggy all over (especially around the knees and lower leg) and you wish you’d sized down – what are you to do?! So after walking around a mile to the restaurant, sitting down to eat, wandering a bit, they were looking a little worse for wear. I think I even talked about this phenomenon last time I wore them on the blog too.
But one good thing, I didn’t manage to get any pizza on them – that was my biggest worry! Okay, to be completely honest, the one I chose was a white pizza and didn’t have any tomato sauce on it, but you should have seen the state of my napkin spread across my knees afterwards – I think it had just about every tomato on that pizza touch it at some point 😀

By the way, the pizza was super yummy 😉

The top was a new one bought specifically for this trip. It’s a lightweight slightly silk-like material, although not real silk, it’s from Dorothy Perkins! I felt I needed some slightly smarter tops for evening wear that were a little warmer, so this was perfect with the white trousers. Sadly it looked much better with the cardigan bunching it up over the top, but I forgot to remove that, so there you go.
These shoes were also new for the trip – a handy ASOS purchase a couple of weeks beforehand. I’ve ended up wearing them a lot since I’ve come home too and the weather has warmed up slightly for everyday wear at work. In fact, the top has made it into a few work outfits too recently with jeans as the weather just can’t decide whether to actually stay warm or not!

I actually love this outfit! You look really cute and comfortable, and I think the white jeans are perfect for an Italian holiday. Gorgeous scenery as well.

It’s cute! I don’t think the jeans look worse for wear at all. That top is gorgeous, the colours are divine. As is the look of that pizza… mmmmmmmm!

Haha I am SUPER messy too – they’re the only white item of clothing I own apart from a couple of cheap T shirts and I’m so surprised I haven’t got them covered in stuff yet 😀 They only come out occasionally to wear though ;D
