A pretty simple outfit for a simple Saturday with lots of jobs to do. I actually talked about my Saturday in yesterday’s outfit post, but it included errands like running to the post office and bank, plus sewing. I actually threw on a hoodie later on to keep a bit warmer so the outfit got even more basic!
I’m loving this T shirt at the moment with jeans – it’s simple but looks cool with the added detail of the cacti (cactuses?! Let’s not get into a debate about pluralising -us endings and whether they should follow the Latin rules or not ;D). Plus the loose fit of it means that it’s quite flattering with my super skinny Hollister jeans. I’m funny with the fit of clothing because I tend to prefer things to be on the tighter side since I have a large bust and anything that has a loose fit will just hang off my chest and make my waist disappear. However, if it’s with a pair of super skinny trousers or a really fitted pencil skirt, I like a loose fit top to balance it out. Like here, you can’t see the definition of my waist, but it doesn’t look unflattering as the jeans are well fitted. And they’re also super comfortable as they’re really stretchy too!
These ankle boots look like they’re going to make 90% of my Style Challenge outfits (make sure to check out the other ones here). They’re just so easy to throw on with everything from jeans to skirts that it seems silly to wear anything else! I’m going to ruin them before long now, aren’t I?!
I know it’s only a matter of days into the New Year, but I feel like my resolutions aren’t going too badly too far. I tried to sum them up as being more about balance, but thinking more about what I want to achieve this year, they seem to sum up a bit better into being a better person this year in general by getting a better balance. I’ve found that being more organised has made a difference already such as making the most of my mornings by getting up early, making better decisions in terms of health (eating and exercising) and keeping the house tidy. We did a lot of tidying and clearing out over Christmas and I think that’s given me the kick to make sure that if something gets used, it has to go back where it came from, putting away clothes when I’m not wearing them (this is a problem I have!) and getting rid of things that aren’t getting used. Even taking photos of outfits and writing about them is feeling good! Like I said, it’s not exactly that far into the New Year yet, but I feel like I’ve made a few changes for the better that are making me feel happy. I just have to keep it up now!

Oooh I like the jeans. I’ve always kinda steered clear of Hollister cos I worry they won’t have my size, but they look like such a good fit! ♥
PS. I’d totally go with cacti #latin

Thank you! I randomly tried on some Hollister jeans on holiday once because they were really cheap on sale and I loved them – since then, they’re pretty much the only jeans I wear! I choose higher rise ones from them that have a bit of stretch usually 🙂
I love this outfit. The top is adorable. A simple outfit but the top really finishes it off well!

Thanks, I’m so glad you liked it and found it inspiring 😀 xx
Great outfit, the cacti are fab and I love your jeans, I went Jean shopping at the weekend but couldn’t find any just right. I’m bigger up top too and can find it hard to keep my shape and be in proportion.

Jean shopping is one of the hardest things – I’ve managed to find that Hollister works well for me so I mostly stick to them nowadays!
