Back in the beginning of August, I was feeling very uninspired by the state of my wardrobe, so I shared a post featuring some of my favourite summer outfits from years gone by on the blog in the hopes that it would get me out of my rut and realising what sort of things I like again. That’s one of the good things about a blog where you keep track of your outfits – you’ve always got past-self inspiration for outfits if need be! Winter has never been much of a fashion peak for me, but there have been some outfits I’ve loved over time.
I was definitely a bit more on track throughout autumn when it was a lot easier to put together outfits I liked in colours I love, but winter is starting to bore me already with its limited options – I’m mostly in jeans and roll neck jumpers, forcing myself to put on a skirt or dress every so often for a bit of a change! It doesn’t help that I’m tired a lot of the time recently due to being so busy that I’m not taking 5 minutes before bed or when I wake up to put together an outfit – I’m just literally grabbing whatever is closest and works together!
And this is why I’m doing another Style Challenge where I force myself to photograph my daily outfits like I did right back when I started the blog – that set me off on being more creative with what I’m wearing. Making the effort to take photos of my outfits every day is reminding me why I like to be creative with clothes again and get me feeling good about what I wear.
It’s funny to look back on some of these photos and see the patterns – similar outfits (jumper/cardigan with shorter skirt or dress) and similar poses in similar places! I remember I’d only realised how to work my camera properly in these ones and I had loads of time to work on getting better photos as I was at uni and didn’t have a huge workload at the time – I wish I had more of those days now!
So it turned out I had a lot more winter outfits I wanted to share with you, so I’m going to split this post into two parts – keep an eye out for another one in a few days!
Some gorgeous outfits, lots of colour and floral prints. I think the shops aren’t as inspiring this year, I went shopping and some shops look liked they consisted of about 4 colours, everything looked the same. I like that you can look back and see how outfits look in photos, I think it’s better than a mirror.

Thank you 🙂 I think I have to agree with you there – I see so little colour in the shops, so maybe that’s a problem I’m having this year as I clearly love colour!
And the colors that they do have aren’t very flattering for most people. I’ve been seeing a lot of the matte mauve-blush-grey color and I just don’t know anyone whose complexion looks great next to it.
