Best Women’s Halloween Costumes for 2017

It’s crazy to think that in just a few weeks we will be not only taking the kids out trick or treating, but also putting on our best costumes and hitting the many parties out there, and, whether it is a house party or at a bar or club, you still want to look your best whatever you’re wearing.  Now just be prepared that you may see many of the same costume at the same party, especially if you are following the best of 2017, but that’s ok, just make sure you pull out all the stops to make yours the best Halloween fancy dress costume out there!

Scary is still cool

As the vampire characters are ageless themselves, so are the costumes, as dressing up as a vampire will never go out of style.  Other popular Women’s Halloween costumes this year seem to be Skeletons, Day of the Dead, and of course Witches! Not to mention female Horror stars including Bride of Chucky or Carrie White. You can even make your own female versions of the 80’s scream villains such as Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees, which remain popular year after year, even though their movies have not been released in years.  Makeup is the key with being scary, so don’t be afraid yourself of going all out so that you can make your costume above the rest, after all, you will most likely see the same costume out and about.

Superheroes Still Reign Supreme

Not only was it the biggest movie in the world this year, but you will probably also see a handful of Wonder Woman’s costumes at any Halloween party you attend, as it is expected to be by far the most popular Women’s Halloween Costume this Autumn.  If you are looking to stick with the superhero trend, you could always go with Catwoman, Harley Quinn, or pretty much any female version of all of the Marvel characters out there including Superman, Green Lantern, or Captain America. You could even invent your own Superhero if you dare!

Movie Characters Never Go Out of Style

Star Wars is probably just as popular as when it came out in the 1970’s, if not even more popular, especially now that the new sequel was so well-received, and another is opening this winter, so why select a Star Wars character such as Princess Leia or Rey which are both always popular.  From there, there is always being a Ghostbuster, Alice in Wonderland, or the ever-popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is always a hit at any party. Just a tip though, make sure the character is a good reference, or you will be hearing “what are you supposed to be?” all night and that will get annoying really quick.

Disney for All Ages

It doesn’t matter how old you are, Disney movies are magnificent to watch! So why not dress up as a Disney character this Halloween? Frozen is as popular as ever so being Elsa or Anna certainly will not be obscure.  For Beauty and the Beast, a huge box office draw recently, Belle is a top costume, you could even create a cool couples costume with your partner – as long as he doesn’t mind being the beast! Fancy more of a classic costume? Well the older Disney classics are still popular including the Little Mermaid, Princess Jasmine, or Snow White.  Sure, they might be a little cheesy, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that the Disney costumes are as popular as ever.

Whatever you decide to wear this Halloween, and whatever you decide to do, Halloween is all about fun, so make sure you enjoy yourself! Hopefully your costume conundrums will all be sorted but if you’re still worried about your Halloween Costume just remember – a bit of fake blood goes a long way!
