So, I spent a lot of money recently…I went shopping with my sister yesterday which meant filling up the car and buying stuff, then today I got my hair done, yay! I am, of course, wearing two new items I bought already today – the elbow patch jumper which I bought at Ark (in York) and is actually by Glamorous, and these flats from Dorothy Perkins with the shiny toe caps. As I said the other day, I really wanted some new tops, but all the ones I saw were either see through (which I don’t think is work appropriate!) or peplum. I do love peplums, but really there are only so many peplum tops you own – I have my Matalan polka dot peplum, Internacionale striped peplum and a Tesco red striped one that I haven’t worn on here yet, as well as a pink vest top one from eBay, and I think that’s enough really! There are only so many outfits you can make from them! So basically, this is the only top I bought, but it’s nice and simple, and also soft! And I’ve wanted some smarter flat shoes for a while now because I ruined a couple of pairs of flats in floods last year, so I only have a couple of other pairs, so these are perfect. I also got some black skinny trousers that are work appropriate but not overly smart from Dorothy Perkins and a skirt from Zara which is definitely not work appropriate but I thought it was fun – hopefully I’ll wear that on here soon =D Beth and I also went to the cinema while we were in York to see This is 40 which was pretty funny, in fact Beth’s now sat watching the funniest clips of it again, typical!

And as I said before, I got my hair done today! I decided I had to get it done because it’s been so long and it was just getting scraggly at the ends. So while I was there, I thought I might as well get it really done, so I decided to have it highlighted. I used to have highlights when I was about 15 or 16, but after that I had it dyed darker, then went through various tones of dark and red, then ombre, then pink, recently I’ve had henna, so decided to go full circle and back to highlights. I’m really pleased with how it’s turned out! I had a bit of a side fringe added again and some layers, so it feels a lot lighter and will hopefully be easier to style and brush now!
