I always think it’s a bit weird scheduling posts for when I’m away!! I sometimes schedule them for a day in advance or later on a day where I know I won’t be in to post, but a week in advance feels odd!! Well anyway, I should be in Turkey right now and half way through my holiday, and hopefully all is going well (so weird!!). This is an outfit I wore a couple of days before I left – the weather had warmed up a little, but not very much!! The blouse is new from eBay but originally ASOS. It is brand new and supposed to be £30, but because it has a little tear I got it for only £6 – I’d been eyeing it up on the website for ages too then spotted it on eBay! The tear is only little and if I’m wearing it tucked in, it’s below the tuck anyway! Going to get my mum to sew it up for me anyway though ;D
The cardigan is also from the same day on eBay – I often get successes on there all in one go, then nothing for ages! I’ve been wanting more cropped cardigans recently, and I just couldn’t resist one with a pretty floral print now could I?!

This skirt is interesting because recently I never dared to wear it anywhere in Newcastle for fear of being harassed by stupid men in cars and lorries driving past when I was walking alone. But at home I thought it might be okay with tights, although it did feel a little short when I was wearing it. So I decided to walk home from Ben’s house the morning I was wearing this – the walk is about the same distance I used to walk in Newcastle to uni. In that time I would usually have about 3 or 4 cars beep their horns at me plus men leering out of their windows, but at home, not a single person did anything. Except for the three lovely people I passed while I was walking who said ‘Good morning’ to me – I love being home.
Also, I’m not sure how well you can see, but I painted my nails ombre using this tutorial. Of course, mine aren’t as perfect as that, or anywhere near, but it was still fun!! However, despite the 4 layers of top coat I put on, it still managed to chip within about 5 hours, and was completely ruined within a day!! I’m so useless with nails, this was the first time I’d actually had time to paint them since I went to Aintree, crazy!! I’ve just been so busy!

  1. Too much topcoat can actually make your nails chip faster — the layer on top of your nail is too thick and it peels up. 1 layer usually does it and some formulas are more pliant and less likely to chip.

I love this outfit! I just got a really similar looking top (although, it’s more sailor-y), but with a very similar bow! I’ve really excited to wear it on my blog. :]

  3. Love this outfit Sian, very cute! You could definitely wear that blouse for your job in September, very teacher appropriate! Hope you’re having (or had) a lovely time in Turkey, I can’t wait to be there myself! xx
