Lightyear

After my Disney inspired post yesterday, I think I must have Disney still on the brain – how else would I making the connection in my head now between galaxies (on my skirt) which are lightyears (title!) apart, and Buzz Lightyear? Just because I’m cool like that!

Anyway, I have been wanting a Galaxy Print Skirt foreverrr, so when I spotted this one a few months ago on the Bang Good website, I just knew I had to have it. I remember wanting a pair of those galaxy print leggings that everyone had, then there were the galaxy print shirts and finally, I found a skirt! I’ve worn it a few times already and been so useless not to photograph it and get some pictures up. As usual these are from a couple of weeks ago, but at least they’re up now!! I decided to go a little crazy with the tights as well that day – I’d had these for a little while and was having trouble trying to pair them with outfits. They’re by Pamela Mann at mytights.com in a cornflower blue and lovely and thick and smooth, but a really difficult colour to match up, despite it being really pretty! And I think they worked pretty well with the skirt in the end since they pick up on the blue hues in it. Paired with a black tee from Primark that I wear way too often nowadays (but not often on the blog, weird!). Speaking of Primark, if you want some more Primark information, I have just discovered that they have a shop pretty near to where I work now, in Harrogate, yay!! This could be dangerous, especially because a few of my colleagues live there too so I might make excuses about visiting them and actually go to Primark…

It’s the weekend again, yay! This week has seemed to go really quickly! I’ve literally barely had a moment to myself this week, but it’s been a lot of fun – I still can’t quite grasp the idea that I have evenings to do whatever I want, as long as I’m in bed at a reasonable time (I know, I’m so old!). So on Monday, my grandparents came to see our new house then took us out for an amazing meal at a local pub; on Tuesday evening, I met a couple of friends from home (Fran and Kiki), my sister (Beth) and another of my friends (Christina) from school who lives far away and had come up to stay for a while at another local pub for another amazing meal; and on Wednesday, Christina and Fran came round to see my new house and we had risotto, swiss roll, strawberries and meringue (obviously not all at once!). In all the busy-ness I didn’t manage to get my hair washed all the way from Sunday until Thursday which was a huge source of stress for me! I curled it on Sunday (post to come!) and, this is amazing, it stayed curled (well, wavy at least) until Thursday – I know!! This is me, whose hair doesn’t usually stay in curls for more than a few hours! I think it was due to the fact that I’d dried and combed my hair properly then used my new curlers on a super high heat. My hair did definitely smell a bit burnt (so I won’t be doing that often!), but the waves stuck around, amazing!!
