Welcome to the New Kadence Theme!

As I described in my last post about our evening out to Disney’s Polynesian Resort, my parents like to do things to surprise us. In this past, this has included tickets to a baseball match, Disneyland Paris trips and skiing trips for my sister (she honestly believed they were just going on a trip to London,…
Bardot Midi Dress: ASOS | Heels: Dorothy Perkins I thought I’d better get a move on and get my Christmas Party outfit up to show you before the festive season completely leaves us! There are more Christmas themed party outfits to come, plus my Christmas Day outfit too, and it’s already the New Year – can’t…
Swimsuit: Esther Williams at For Luna Sunglasses: Primark This is another quick swimsuit post from Turkey – again, another ‘retro’ style one! I do actually wear ‘normal’ bikinis too, as in string triangle bikinis, although I tend to go more for retro shaped ones, like a Sainsburys red and white gingham halterneck style. I absolutely…
Yesterday morning was lovely and sunny, not really warm, but still kind of sunny, so my parents decided we would go for a walk to Brimham Rocks with the dog. The rocks are really fun to climb on, so despite the fact that I was coming down with a cold (that has most definitely hit…
I’m so sorry to have abandoned you all over Christmas!! I have done my best to keep up on reading most of your blogs but had no time to do my own blogging! Basically, just the usual excuse, I have been busy doing family Christmas things, and Ben has had the whole week off work,…

This dress is gorgeous!! You wouldn’t have picked a better pattern for Christmas. You’ve inspired me to make a Christmas day dress for myself next year <3 Gisforgingers xx
Great dress – seems everyone is making themselves wonderful clothes and I can’t even sew a hem (I tried, it was horrible!)… so skilled! Glad I’ve found another UK style blog up my street, adding to my reading list 🙂

Your dress is so cute, very prettily festive. I really like your contrast red bias binding round the neckline too. Have you tried understitching your facings? It’ll help stop your facings or bodice lining poking out at the neckline. Here’s a link to a tutorial, it’s super easy 🙂 http://byhandlondon.com/blogs/by-hand-london/12516745-nerdy-sewing-tips-understitching
That dress is amazing!! I hope you have a lovely time in London.
