Pearl Collar

I fully acknowledge and apologise for the quality of these photos – they are dreadful! Grainy and blurry!! Especially after saying yesterday that I would be working on improving quality! Well, I have excuses =D These were taken in those days after Christmas again, don’t ask me to remember the occasion! But my excuses: it was dark, like actually dark, so really the camera did pretty well! I was in a bad mood because Ben refused to take pictures then made me walk the dog before doing it, so I was pretty grumpy (hence the forced smile!). And finally I had been playing with my camera and had forgotten to change the settings, so the ISO was left all wrong creating super grainy images. But they document an outfit, so I thought I’d use them anyway, particularly since I won’t have many outfits to show you soon!

I received this dress from Fuse just before Christmas, in fact just after I had my operation. I desperately wanted to wear it and try it on, but due to the swollen tummy I couldn’t =( I only just managed it on this day, but it was still catching on the stitches. But it is the most amazing dress with the little pleated skirt, long sleeves and pearl collar! And I went lazy, just pairing it with my super comfortable mocs and my now trusty leather jacket.

It was my first day back doing something today – I was up at Sunderland for a sort of uni day, although it was pretty pointless! For my training, we have to join with the PGCEs who obviously do not have jobs yet. As a GTP, I have a job which required a proper interview to get it, and today was all about how to get an interview and what will happen at a teaching interview. Basically they told us that you might have to teach a lesson at an interview (shock, horror…oh, hang on, I knew that and I taught two without any experience). We also got a thing on how to write your CV and talks from NQTs (newly qualified teachers). Fair enough, there was some useful stuff, but they spent far too long telling us the basic stuff to expect with teaching interviews when I’ve already been through that without any instruction! I’m back there on Monday, then back to work on Tuesday. It will probably be pretty chaotic with all the stuff I missed at the end of term and making sure everyone’s all caught up, but I think it’ll be okay =)
