Winter’s a-Coming

IMG_6455

My outfits recently have been very autumnal, looking back over my outfit posts I’ve realised that they nearly all include some notion of autumn in their colours: burnt orange, rust and mustard. And I’m still continuing that theme in this post with my mustard jumper, but I think I’m also transitioning it into the winter weather which seems to already be hitting with this faux fur leopard print coat I received from Motel Rocks to review on Student Fashion Blog.

How have you all been liking my new photo spot beside the brick wall? I started trying to do my photos there again today, but the sun has moved in the sky now so that it makes a really odd sort of light there, it makes the photos come out really faded and weird, and I can’t even work out how to remedy it, even with my fancy camera (that I still don’t really know how to use that well!!). So today my photos are next to a not so nice wall, I’m actually stood between our kitchen window and bathroom window! Maybe I should get back in the graveyard? Let me know what you think!

Leopard Print Coat: c/o Motel Rocks
Mustard Jumper: George at Asda
Red Jeans: Pimkie
Boots: Primark
I finally pulled these jeans out of the back of the wardrobe after seeing loads of bloggers wearing theirs. I’ve noticed a lot of coloured jeans in the shops recently (and bought a maroon pair myself, coming up on the blog soon!). They are actually about 6 years old but I thought they were perfect to go with the leopard coat. And the jumper is actually fairly new, when Ben and I popped into Asda the other week I grabbed it on a whim. It’s actually very similar to the cropped one I wore a lot last year, but it’s longer and a different shade, entirely different, I promise!! And the boots are another old purchase from around 3 years ago, I think they were one of my first Primark purchases when I came to visit Ben in Newcastle while I was still at school! I love bringing out old things like this, it feels like you’ve got all new clothes!!

  • Girly Girl

This is definitely a very Sian outfit consisting of a pretty twirly skirt, a girly pink, a pair of flat shoes and some quirky details (the bow tie and the bow pattern). I got this blouse recently off eBay for 99p – amazing! It seems to be brand new and unworn, originally from Forever 21….

  1. Love that coat and jumper! I also grabbed my red jeans from my emo-phase a few years ago when I saw that coloured jeans was back in 🙂 and now they’re one of my favourite items in my closet!
