Jumping On The Bandwagon

SDC15844
Just like last week when everyone was dressing up for the Royal Wedding, and I (unintentionally!) got out a long skirt and looked ‘elegant’ like everyone else, today I’ve gone and jumped off that bandwagon again: this time the colour-blocking one! Well, all these lovely ladies all over the blogosphere have been doing it and looking awesome, so I thought why not! I’d been planning this outfit in my head for a while now, and I was surprised it actually worked when I tried it out =)

The tights weren’t included when I was planning it, and even though it is as sunny as ever here (yay!), it is also pretty windy, as it always is in Newcastle. Therefore, I felt a litttttle unsafe going out tightless with that wind, so I compromised and put on some thin ones that didn’t overshadow the outfit too much.

And speaking of colour blocking, I actually pretty much did this colour scheme but backwards yesterday, blue on the bottom, red on top, and…shock…horror! The blue part of my outfit was….jeans!! Not just blue denim jeans, I mean like proper blue, ie. from my collection of bright coloured jeans I owned when I was 15 (red, purple, blue, pink…the list goes on!). I really liked how it worked out though, and I’m going to be pulling out those jeans again soon, I knew I would wear them again at some point!!

I was playing around earlier with my camera and decided I never do any close ups of my face, and since I’d actually bothered to put make up (and lipstick) on today, I thought I would do some! By the way, my face doesn’t really look this smooth, I discovered Beauty Shot on my camera haha! Ssshhh!

And that’s about it for today! As you can see, I’m back in good old Newc again, back to uni, and still not quite finished with my assignments, so I’m going to be getting on with those now. I spend an hour and a half unpacking and properly organising and cleaning, so I really do need to get on now. Ben said he might take me into town when he’s home from work tonight, but the reason for this is a secret for now which, if I go, I will reveal to you soon (because I will need all of you to help me with it =D). Oh and I’m trying to catch up with comment replies at the moment, so if I’m being very slow, that’s why, but thank you to everyone who’s still bearing with me and commenting, love you all!!

Okay okay, I know that’s an awful title, but come on! I was going to simply entitle it “Spring Shoes” and I guess that would have been a bit more SEO friendly, but then again, that’s boring so you ended up with this title! Spring isn’t really one of my favourite seasons – I much…

Because I’m lazy and I’ve got so much work to do (6 assignments plus 4 exams after Easter eurgh), I decided to do something different today instead of taking outfit photos (and I’ve spent half the day shopping with my mum so I don’t have time to go prancing around doing outfit photos, editing etc),…

Finally I get to present to you my new dress from Oasap, isn’t it just amazing?! I know it’s a very summery dress and it’s kind of still Spring, but it was really sunny yesterday, so I just had to wear it!! Don’t worry, I’ve got tights underneath 😉 I didn’t realize when I ordered…

  • Bows and Anchors

Well, there aren’t quite any anchors in this post, but the bolero definitely has that nautical feel about it, doesn’t it? And to be honest, I was convinced this dress had anchors on it too until I looked more closely at the pictures and realised they were bows, duh. But wow, it’s been a crazy…
