I’m HOOOMMMEEE!! =D And a clothes swap outfit

So as you may or may not have noticed (you probably did because I have been whining about it a lot) I have been dying to just get home this past week and I have been fed up of university. Well, I am finally home and very happy about it!! There actually is still some snow here, but it’s so cold that it’s just gone really hard and turned to ice in most places, in fact last night I was walking across our drive to my car because I left some shoes in there a few weeks ago that I wanted, and I stood on what I thought was a clear patch on the driveway, no it was actually a sheet of ice and I just flew onto the ground! I was fine in the end, I’m just a bit bruised now, but because I landed on my wrist my dad made me put an ice pack on it in case I’d done something, but it was fine!

As you can see, my sister and I have already been having a lot of Christmas fun since I came home!! Yesterday afternoon we went for a walk with the dog, and in the fields the snow had melted in the ruts but frozen again so there were huge patches of thick ice that we were sliding around on! The dog too!! And last night we decorated the house and tree!! =DD My favourite Christmas thing!! We were messing around with the lights as you can see haha! I’ll do a quick outfit thing, I was wearing Forever21 Cardigan, H&M Black Lace Dress, black tights and wellies haha! I should have got a better picture of the outfit because I actually quite liked it =)

So yesterday, on the way back from Newcastle we stopped at Ben’s work to pick up his mail and there was a parcel he couldn’t remember ordering, and I opened it to discover this amazing pair of shorts from the lovely Laura of Only Half Dressed. I’d completely forgotten that I put my name down for these shorts so it was a lovely surprise to get them as a part of our Clothes Swap, The Lovely Ones. I’m so happy with how successfully the Clothes Swap is going actually, so far I’ve had these shorts, and Charlotte’s dress, and one of my dresses is currently in Korea with Amy.

I went for a bit of a nautical theme today with the red and navy, and I even think the mustard tights help bit with this although I’m not entirely sure why, maybe because you can pretend they’re gold?! I don’t know! But I said this morning to Ben when I was deciding what to wear with the shorts that I wanted something red so I could look like a sailor, and since then I’ve been singing: “I’m Popeye the sailor-Sian!” Yeh, that’s just the way I am haha!! =DD I really like these shorts actually, I think they’re very flattering on my legs and the high waisted-ness of them is really nice.

Can you spot Jeremy in the bottom right of this photo haha?! He’s my dad’s and he’s nailed down to a tree stump at the bottom of our garden!!
I rediscovered these boots recently. I left them at home while I’ve been at uni, and I came home and found them again. My mum actually steals them sometimes, but they’re not actually very good for this weather because they’re really slippy on the sole, but they went well with my outfit! Oh my goodness, I just realised pretty much my whole outfit is New Look, I’d better list it now haha!

Red Cardigan: New Look
White and Red Polka Dot T Shirt: New Look
Navy Shorts: New Look from Laura via The Lovely Ones
Mustard Tights: Primark
Black Boots: New Look

Obligatory Ben and Lottie photo haha! And that’s my house in the very little snow we have left! My room is the window in the middle on the roof, and my sister’s is the one to the left hand side. We live in what was once the attic, the stairs come right up into my room, and my room leads straight into hers, but I quite like it that way because we can leave the door open and talk through it =)

Love,
