I bought this gorgeous dress recently in a massive (like seriously, massive) haul of items I ordered from Matalan – they had a big sale on and released some discount codes for Facebook and Twitter fans, so when using this, I got everything super cheap. I ended up ordering a few items of clothing for me and Ben, then loads of stuff to go in our new house, and this dress was one of them. I’d seen it on the website before and loved it, but couldn’t justify just buying it, but when I saw it in the sale, I just had to get it. And I love it even more now!! Unfortunately the amazing shape of it doesn’t really come out well in these pictures, it seems to skim really nicely over me, and I love the sheer material with the slip underneath. I think with flat shoes and a blazer, it might just be work appropriate (there I go again!!).
It was a bit of a whim to wear it with ankle socks and Mary Jane wedges. I originally just had it on with tights, but I wanted to make it a bit more interesting!! I’m not sure how flattering it really is, but I quite like it anyway. I think I had this outfit of Kani’s in mind when putting them on, so maybe a shorter skirt like hers might have been a bit more flattering, but nevermind!

We had a lovely weekend with my baby cousin Mollie – she spent the day at our house, basically just running around chasing cats and dogs. She’s just started talking a bit more now, saying things like ‘doggy’, ‘cat’, ‘daddy’ and even surprised us with ‘dinosaur’!! We went out for a meal at a local (in the middle of nowhere) pub in the evening with them – I had my usual from there, a half roast chicken, which is pretty much just what it says it is, and tastes amazing. Plus a massive pile of homemade chips which are, also, amazing!! It was pretty hilarious because Mollie was sat on my mum’s knee and grabbed my dad’s empty beer pint glass and drained the dregs of it!! She then proceeded to do the same to every glass on the table, so this little 20 month old ended up drinking the dregs of beer, cider, lemonade etc! One cider glass actually had about a mouthful left it in, I’m surprised she wasn’t drunk!! Not sure it’s something that’s exactly recommended for children, but it was funny!
Today I’ve been busy doing all sorts of random things – filling in medical forms for my GTP (Graduate Teacher Training Programme), gathering up all the right documents, packaging up and sending eBay items and delivering unsold ones to the charity shop. I’ve also starting photographing my next lot of eBay things too, so I have all those to list. Although I’ve lost my camera charger and it’s just gone flat, so I really need to find that so that I can get on with listing eBay things and photographing outfits! Although I still have several to post still, about 6 now I think!!

We were in the supermarket the other day and Ben decided to buy me some flowers, yay! So they’re sat on our table with our Mickey from Florida. Yet again, I have succumbed to Sianness and fallen ill – this time just seems to be some sort of allergic reaction with a horrible itchy red…

Here are the photos from my Graduation – Newcastle University, Class of 2012. I think that sounds very ‘American’ because it’s not really something we’d tend to say over here, but we got given this little goody bag which had some sweets in that said ‘Class of 12’ so decided it would be a good…
