Aintree Ladies Day: What I Wore

So yesterday you saw my post about everything else at Aintree Ladies Day; today you see my outfit!! Because of the short notice, (I found out on Tuesday at around midnight after a bombardment of contact from Charlotte!), I didn’t have a lot of time to think about what to wear!! I was already planning a trip shopping to York with my sister on Wednesday mainly to get look at presents for my mum’s birthday (sshh!!), so I thought I might as well look at what I could wear at the same time, but I had some back up ideas at home for just in case I didn’t find anything!! I saw a few dresses on the Topshop website but when I tried them on in the shop they were unflattering and a bit weird, so I ended up in the option I’d chosen at home!!

I originally planned to look for a hat, but we didn’t really go near any hat shops or anywhere that sold hats, but in the end I decided I would just wear my hat from Crystals and Crumpets (which was the last time I saw Charlotte – we seem to always need hats when we see each other!), but on the morning I woke up remembering how the hat had hurt my head last time, then spotted this bow and thought I could substitute that for a hat =) Becca ended up wearing my hat in the end!!

And there’s Charlotte looking amazing in her outfit (pop over to her blog to see the photos I took of her outfit!!). It was so nice to have someone else take my photos – and someone who knows exactly how I want them done!! It’s always lovely to have Ben take them, and we’ve managed to get some amazing photos recently, but having another blogger take them is fantastic because they understand perfectly!! Also it was lovely that people weren’t staring at us – I think the races is the only place you can go and take loads of pictures of each other’s and everyone else’s outfits and not get funny looks =D
I’m quite sad to post these photos now because that’s the end of my Aintree posts!! It was an amazing day and I was so lucky to have such an amazing opportunity!
