Flower Child

I was going to post my next installment of holiday snaps, but I just couldn’t resist posting another outfit post with pictures from my new camera, I’m sorry! These are from 8am on Tuesday morning, when it was still sunny and warm. Unfortunately it is not like that any more =( It’s now rainy and cloudy and yucky again, back to tights weather. In fact yesterday I bought 11 new pairs of tights because of this horrid weather!

I really love the light in these photos, makes me want to be up at 8am more to take photos in it, well I would if it was sunny. Actually it’s not my choice to be up at that time, but when I stay at Ben’s he leaves to work at that time and drops me off at home on the way past.
Also, how is this possible?! I managed to lose weight while being in Florida, the land of all bad fried and fatty foods. Believe me, I ate a lot of them. But we also did a lot of walking in theme parks and whatnot I suppose, I don’t know, I seem to randomly lose weight and it takes me ages to put it back on. I think I actually dropped about 8lbs, I weighed myself on holiday because I got worried because I realised I felt like I dropped weight but I hadn’t weighed myself for ages before. I don’t know how I did that, but I’d have preferred not to actually, now my belt doesn’t fit properly =S

Yes, I know, another floral dress that you haven’t seen before! This one is from the Vintage Fair in Newcastle where I got the leather shoes too. I’m pretty sure it used to be longer and has been hemmed at some point in time, and the straps have been taken up too, but it fits just perfectly and I really like the length, it’s slightly longer than most of my dresses which is nice because so many of them have got too short!!

Also the floral wreath was a sudden purchase in Primark the day before I went away, I couldn’t help myself! I had been wanting one for ages and they’re only £1 so it justifies it, right?! Also, they’re just so pretty =) Oh, and the no shoes thing…when I’m at home I often just don’t wear shoes at all. I’ll spend days with no shoes on. Despite the fact that I love shoes to death, I’d much prefer not to wear any! In fact I’ve even gone to Ben’s house and realized I’ve got no shoes when I get there haha! Woops!

Grey Cardigan: H&M (Beth’s)

First things first, isn’t this dress gorgeous?! Ben hates it – I think he thinks I look slightly deranged in it and my mum isn’t so keen either, but she admitted that’s because she remembers this style being popular back in the 80s and 90s. But I love it. I love the length, the…

  • Outtakes

Thought I’d do something a little different while I’m away: outtakes! When you’re a personal style blogger, you end up taking a lot of photos of yourself, obviously. Some turn out great, some…well, just not so great. And that’s what you’re going to see here: the real Sian who is actually terribly unphotogenic!! I’ve learnt…

Very quick post because I need to be setting off back into uni in 15 mins, so I need to type quickly then get all my books together..eeps!! Yeh, so the swimming I mentioned yesterday didn’t exactly happen, maybe another day. I had an awful night’s sleep, I swear like a bomb or something went…

  • Mango 1930s Floral Dress

Up until recently, I’d have described my perfect fashion era as the 1950s. I love everything full-skirted, cinch-waisted and colourfully cute. That style and silhouette suits my more curvaceous figure and so that’s where I’ve always been drawn towards. See examples here, here and here for just a few of my 1950s inspired looks. Recently…

  1. V jealous of your tanned legs! The light is really lovely here, I don’t think I’ve seen the sun since last week in London though 🙁 Lovely dress anyhow and the garland looks cute xx

  3. I love going shoeless in summer, I have a really had habit of taking them off when I am walking around anywhere with grass and then loosing them 🙂 Love that dress! The length is fantastic, I’ve been having loads of problems this summer after I realised all my dresses are kind of butt hugging, acceptable in tights but not when you want to go without them. I don’t think clothes are designed for people as tall as me. Oh well. Love this post, and your new camera is fantastic xo

  4. I would agree, there is nothing better than morning sun; however, most mornings I am in such a rush to get to work by 9 that it leaves little time to enjoy it let alone take photos.

This dress is DARLING! I have a belt that does the same thing but I love it so much I still wear it!!
