How to Bring a Sense of Adventure Back Into Your Everyday Life
There’s a great deal to be said about the power of routine. By creating the right ones and making them stick, you can make significant progress toward your personal goals. If your routine involves going for a run every evening, then you can be fairly sure that your 5k time will improve faster than if you’d been running sporadically.
But there’s a sense in which routine can be stifling and uninspiring. It might result in your world shrinking and losing its colour and vitality.
The good news is that you can break from the habits and routines that you don’t like and replace them with the ones that you do. This needn’t involve making grand gestures and expensive plans; a little tweak here and there can often make a substantial difference.

Start With Small, Everyday Explorations
The smaller the departure from what’s normal, the easier it might be to bring it about. A trip to a different cafe, or a walk through a different park, might inspire you to pay more attention to the world around you. Negative routines often stem from an overcrowded schedule. You might feel that you can’t find the time to just relax and take a breath, let alone embark on a spontaneous adventure.
It’s for this reason that you might set aside a portion of your week for unplanned breaks. If you can provide yourself with the means of doing this easily, then you might make it more enjoyable. In doing so, you’ll give yourself the spark you need to thrive in your chosen hobby.
