Welcome to the New Kadence Theme!

I bet you’ll be getting fed up of this dress and denim jacket soon! Well, there’s very likely to be more posts with the jacket because currently I should be away on holiday, and I’ve packed it to go with me! So all going well, and if I haven’t lost my luggage, then I’ll…
Black Top: Primark Tartan Midi Skirt: ASOS Grey Tights: M&S Black Shoes: Matalan This won’t be a regular thing, posting proper photos of every outfit during this challenge, but I managed to snap some very quickly this evening before we ran out the door to Lidl (where I bought an awesome facial brush thingy on…
Sorry for disappearing again for a while – I had a busy half term and now I’m back at school, it’s busy there again! I’ve got an old outfit to show you today from a couple of weeks ago now at the start of half term. I went home for a few days while my…
The concept of the “micro-vacation” has become a psychological necessity for many. With the rise of hybrid work and always-on digital environments, spreading rest into smaller, more frequent breaks can be far more effective for long-term health than relying on a single annual holiday. Instead of one big reset each year, regular short trips allow…
So I’ve finally got round to doing my Florida posts! I’ve spent aaaages editing, sorting and loading my pictures to Flickr, now all I’ve got to do is organize the posts. Altogether we must have had about 2000 photos (1100 of them are Beth’s!), so I’ve got a mixture of all of our photos, except…
So if you’ve been paying attention recently, you’ll know why Charlotte, Becca and I are all fancied up in the picture above…yes, I spent the day yesterday at Aintree Ladies’ Day as a guest of Matalan, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect day (except for that hour or so of rain, but that still…

Beautiful look. Love the print
Made in Mauve
This dress is gorgeous!! You wouldn’t have picked a better pattern for Christmas. You’ve inspired me to make a Christmas day dress for myself next year <3 Gisforgingers xx
Great dress – seems everyone is making themselves wonderful clothes and I can’t even sew a hem (I tried, it was horrible!)… so skilled! Glad I’ve found another UK style blog up my street, adding to my reading list 🙂

Your dress is so cute, very prettily festive. I really like your contrast red bias binding round the neckline too. Have you tried understitching your facings? It’ll help stop your facings or bodice lining poking out at the neckline. Here’s a link to a tutorial, it’s super easy 🙂 http://byhandlondon.com/blogs/by-hand-london/12516745-nerdy-sewing-tips-understitching
That dress is amazing!! I hope you have a lovely time in London.
