Rainbow

This skirt is an old favourite – in fact I think it’s the skirt that launched my interest in fashion if I really think about it! I bought it when I was in my last year at school back in 2009, I believe, and I remember wearing it on an evening at school once and one of my friends telling me it was amazing and that she wanted me to take her shopping because I always picked out pretty skirts! I’d never before thought about what I was buying and if other people would like it, at school most people just wore hoodies and jeans so I generally just wore that and tried to fit in, but when summer came round you couldn’t keep me away from the occasional pretty floral dress or skirt. I wore this for my first ever look on Lookbook (look at my photography there haha!!) because I used to use that instead of blogging. I think this skirt was actually pretty popular on the interwebz but I wasn’t really looking at blogs then so I didn’t see it much. It’s since made several appearances on my blog, most often paired with red because it just asks for it really!! I’ll do a remix of it sometime when I have all my pictures available =)

And onto less serious things now =D My illness of death is starting to go away now, yay!! I’ve had a few days of antibiotics now and it seems to be clearing it a lot – if you didn’t see I mentioned before, it turned out to be a sinus infection brought on after the flu I’d had, yucks. But now I just feel like I have a ‘normal’ cold rather than feeling my whole head is going to fall off!! I actually managed to get a good bit of work done yesterday after having to take so long off doing it because my head had been hurting so badly I couldn’t focus on the pages. Now all I need to do with my dissertation is read a couple more articles online then type it all up properly (I like to write things out by hand first) and it’ll be done!! That’s good because I have another 5 essays and 5 exams, plus a wedding =/ Ah well, it’ll all work out in the end.
This outfit is actually from a few days ago now, and I have another one to post too yet!! Hope you’re all having a lovely Easter weekend =) Ooh also, if you can see in the picture below, there’s a pretty rainbow across it!! It looks like some fancy effect on Photoshop or something but it’s actually just the light and my sister standing in the right place to take the photos =)

Beautiful skirt! I wish I could still wear stuff that I bought years ago… but I have a bad habit of giving things away too often! Note to self; keep everything! 🙂 Good luck with all of your work! I’m glad to hear that you are finally starting to feel better now 🙂

The skirt is lovely (and how you combined it on Lookbook with that red belt is really nice)! I really like the mouse flats, too 🙂

I wish you a nice Easter weekend!

I like the red with the blue and white skirt. I don’t ever put that combination together being from the US because I feel like I’ll look like the poster child for Independence Day. However, I love the grey and light shades of blue in this outfit. 🙂
