Today is yet another Spring day perfect for pastels, and I’m so happy about it!! I received these amazing aqua coloured jeans from Matalan, although like to think they’re a little mint greenish, and straight away decided they needed to go with my pastel pink Primark jacket, despite this outfit being very similar to one I posted recently. The colour of the jeans just give it that little extra kick so it’s that bit more interesting than just my plain old jeans. A few other bloggers are also receiving some coloured jeans from Matalan in all different colours so we can see how differently they can be styled, so you’ll be able to see those on Charlotte, Susie and Sara’s blogs too, then over at the Matalan website soon!!
I got my mum to take my photos today, which was a nice change!! Although it took a lot of directing, plus her forgetting about the zoom and coming right up close to take detail photos!! She’d just been picking daffodils from the bottom of our garden, so I snatched them off her for the photos, they add the perfect pastel touch!! And I added these sunglasses at last minute too – I spotted them in Primark the other day and just had to get some, then thought Charlotte, whose birthday is coming up, would love them because of the mint green too, so I grabbed a pair for her too. She received them today and is also wearing them too haha =D We always seem to pick the same items of clothing so I thought that if I liked them, she probably would too!!

And onto the details: I’ve been trying to wear a bit more interesting jewellery recently – you might have noticed my ring yesterday. And today I went for this necklace. I bought it in H&M last week and decided to try it out with this outfit. It is a little busy in the collar area, but I like it, adds a little more interest. Then lipstick! I always forget to mention it, but for about 3 months now, whenever I put on make up I have also been wearing lipstick too. I never used to wear lipstick, I think I assumed it was the territory of either old ladies or people who liked really bright lips. But no, and I now love it and own several, and I’m hoping to get more!! Today I went for my cheapest one, at £1 it’s a bright pink from MUA, in fact I mentioned it foreverrr  ago on my blog here, wow that’s an old post!!

This morning I took a morning off working (cheeky!) to go with my mum into town to buy meat (obviously), and for the last couple of hours I’ve been sat in the garden doing my dissertation reading (still not quite finished with it!!). But I decided to give myself a little break to write this post, and now I’ve sat down and the kitten has climbed on my knee so I feel too mean to move, she’s trying to sleep there!! She can’t come outside yet because she’s still too little and might get onto the road (we’ve had 3 cats run over on that road, one lost a leg because of it!!).
Oh and some AWESOME news, you will all appreciate this since it will shut me up moaning: my camera is on its way home!! =D You have no idea how ridiculously excited I am!! It’s been 3 months, but it’s finally (hopefully!!) all fixed and will be here tomorrow!! That probably means my next post will be full of photos, sorry!! And there’ll probably be a good few of a certain cheeky kitten in there too =D In fact, she may deserve a post all of her own because she is so cute and really cheeky!!

  4. I love this outfit, Sian! I am really timid about the colored jeans trend, but I’m thinking I definitely need some. They’re still kind of hard to find in the US though, so I might have to order online which is always a bit scary. You look amazing though!!
