When we arrived back from holiday at the end of September, we had a few days of really lovely weather where it was started to turn towards the chilly weather of autumn but still bright sunny skies – perfect kind of autumn weather really! What was also really awesome was that the sun wasn’t yet setting before I’d finished work, and for two nights (this being the other one), we managed to catch the light in the fabled “Golden Hour” for some pictures in this field not far from our house. I wasn’t wearing the most exciting of outfits this day, in fact it was the day after we returned from holiday, in other words, my first jetlagged day back at work, so I wanted a simple comfortable outfit that was easy to wear (and easy to find!). I ended up with a pair of jeans I’d bought on holiday (I bought 3 pairs in Hollister sales/outlets – they’re the brand that fit me best by far of any I’ve tried) plus a cardigan I bought at a J. Crew Outlet (they had of these but I went for a plain navy) as we were driving to the airport, plus a really old basic striped tee from George at Asda, a pair of flats from Zara that are one of my footwear staples and a jacket I bought as my “transition” coat from Zara a couple of years ago. And basically, I decided I looked like my mum this night – it’s very typically an outfit she would wear, with stripes, dark coloured skinny jeans and flats, all in navy! In fact, she even saw these photos of me and though it was herself in them!
And that’s about it for today, I guess! I’ve been focusing a lot on sewing recently in my spare time and I’ve got a dress I’ve got the pattern all ready for, so I want to get on with that tonight. I had a very exciting weekend sewing with something to share with you all soon (hint: it’s more underwear, not a perfect fit, but I’m still very pleased with it!).

This is another outfit of newish things – I either seem to wear really old clothes from like 6-7 years ago, or new clothes that I’ve bought over the last few months, I always forgot about middle-recently bought clothes!! This is the skirt I told you about the other day that I bought in the…

Thought I’d do something a little different while I’m away: outtakes! When you’re a personal style blogger, you end up taking a lot of photos of yourself, obviously. Some turn out great, some…well, just not so great. And that’s what you’re going to see here: the real Sian who is actually terribly unphotogenic!! I’ve learnt…

  • Little Miss Yorkshire

Eeh bah gum, how awesome is this T shirt?! Okay, you might not find me speaking quite like that anytime soon – I’m told at work I’m “posh” because I don’t have the stereotypical Yorkshire accent – but I do love my home county. Mix Yorkshire with Mr. Men and Little Miss and you’ve got…
