Bilberry

This outfit was worn a couple of weekends ago now, when our friends Charley and Frankie (I think most of you have ‘met’ them on the blog before!) came over to my house for a barbecue. We were supposed to be doing another one of our trips to the Peak District – we’ve been several times now for trips to Alton Towers, random walks across wet fields, cave exploring and New Years Celebrations – and this was supposed to be a summer one including picnics, walking and National Trust visiting, but unfortunately the holiday cottage that we stay at, which belongs to Frankie’s family, ended up being rented out the only week we could go, so the trip was cancelled! So in the end, we invited them over for a barbecue instead. It ended up being a mini party because my sister had a friend round too, then at last minute my parents invited their friends, so there ended up being 10 of us! But we had a lovely evening!
The next day we went bilberry picking (as I mentioned before I think!), so I just had to name this post, in the light blue-ish colour of the dress, after them! I suppose bilberries are a little darker, but at least it was a little less predictable than ‘Blueberry’!!

Denim Jacket: Matalan (similar here)
Dress: c/o Glamorous
Belt: Topshop
Ballet Flats: Primark
This dress is the other part of the lovely package I received from Glamorous recently – it’s named the Marry Me dress. I was hoping that it might be a little bit longer, but I actually really like the length of it now I’ve worn it, just so long as I don’t bend over! I quite often have this problem with dresses, of them being too short, but I’m not even that tall – I’m only just 5’7!! I’ve started to want to wear slightly longer length dresses recently, particularly as I’ll need to wear them for work, but there are so many short pretty ones that it’s difficult!!
The flats are the ones that I bought after my graduation when I had to walk a long way to the restaurant and decided heels would not be a good idea for that!! They’re not the best shoes ever, but they go with pretty much everything and they’re super easy to just slip on as you’re leaving the house! Although I can tell that they’re probably going to fall apart soon, but that’s what you get with buying cheapy shoes!!
I’ve had an early morning today – been working in the bakery again, and I’m there again tomorrow, so I’m pretty tired now. I didn’t have the best night’s sleep either for some reason, so I think I should get an early night today.

  • Pasty

That title could be taken two ways – ‘pasty’ as in pasty coloured, which is what I was actually intending when I wrote it, I thought I’d written pastel waaay too much recently, so pasty pink would be better. But then it also occurred to me that it could be ‘pasty’ as in the food,…
