Frost
This time last year Newcastle and Yorkshire were covered in a thick layer of snow and had been for around 3 weeks. This year we have had not so much as a flake of snow yet!! We’ve got so used to having snow in December over the last few years that it doesn’t feel right now it’s not snowing, although before the last few years we hardly ever got snow in early December! But we’ve had a lot of very cold weather and below freezing temperatures which has resulted in hard frosts, particularly last night. I was woken this morning by my mum and Ben insisting that I go for a walk with them because it was sunny and frosty and I could get some good photos. I ended up annoying them because I took so long to take photos, they were fed up of stopping to wait for me!!

Outfit time!! Ben and my mum were also embarrassed by me for dressing like this in the country!! They wouldn’t walk near me!! I see nothing wrong with fur coats and wedges in fields, but apparently they do!! Again, I’m doing the jumper and dress/skirt thing! And I bought a load of new tights yesterday, some thick woollen ones for winter because I keep getting cold legs at the moment.
So this is a sample of all the photos I took this morning. I took my zoom lens and portrait lens with me so I could test them both out on different things, and it was pretty difficult changed them with gloves on, but it was really interesting to practise taking pictures of different things for once!! So these are all in the fields around my house where we walk the dog. I can’t wait to do more in the snow =)
And that’s it for now! We’re going to get our Christmas tree tomorrow but we’re not decorating till next weekend. I only have one more week of uni left then I’m home until the end of January because I have no exams, so I’m hoping to get loads of dissertation work done then. I’ll have to work out a good place at home for outfit photos now!! Oh and some of you asked for recipes for some of the things I posted the other day, so I’ll do some of those soon =)
